Sub-District

DKI Jakarta has a special status as a Special Capital Region. Jakarta is divided to five cities and one district, namely:

1. Administrative District Thousand Islands is an administrative district in the Special Capital Region of Jakarta, Indonesia. Its area covers archipelago in the Bay of Jakarta.
Administrative District Thousand Islands has a population of approximately 20,000 inhabitants spread over eleven small islands uninhabited. Eleventh island including the island of Java Fortunately, Pari Island, Lancang Island, Tidung Big Island, Small Island Tidung, Scout Island, Island Grill, Hope Island, Coconut Island, and Island Sebira. In addition to inhabited islands, there are also several islands that serve as tourist islands, such as Angel Island, Pulau Onrust, kotok Big Island, Island Princess, Island Sun, Pulau Sepa, and so forth.
In this district there is also a conservation zone in the form of marine national park called Thousand Island Marine National Park (TNKS). As an area that most of its territory is water and in it there is also the conservation zone, it is not surprising when the development of this district more emphasis on the development of marine aquaculture and tourism. These two sectors are expected to become prime-mover of development of society and the Administrative District Thousand Islands region.

2. West Jakarta is one of five cities in the administration of Special Capital Region of Jakarta. West Jakarta is administratively divided into eight districts and 56 urban villages.
West Jakarta famous relics such as the Dutch colonial era City Hall building (now the Museum of History), Chinatown area (Glodok) and also a number of old mosques and fortifications in the early days of Dutch occupation of Batavia.
After South Jakarta, West Jakarta is now designed to be the new regional business center for the region and around Jakarta. Especially in Kembangan District has and will build shopping malls, entertainment centers, shopping centers, office buildings, hospitals, schools and so forth. This area is becoming so strategic, will soon pass a series of Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR).

3. Central Jakarta administration is the name of a town in central Jakarta Special Capital Region. To the north is bordered by the Central Jakarta North Jakarta, in the east by the East Jakarta, in the south by the South Jakarta and on the west by West Jakarta. Central Jakarta is the smallest province of DKI Jakarta administration. At the time of the Dutch East Indies Batavia.

4. South Jakarta administration is the name of a town south of Jakarta Province. South Jakarta is one of five city administration and one administrative district of DKI. To the north is bordered by the South Jakarta West Jakarta and Central Jakarta in the east by the East Jakarta, on the south by the City of Depok, and west of the city of Tangerang.
South Jakarta city administration is the most wealthy compared with other regions, with the number of housing upper and middle class citizens and where the main business center.

5. East Jakarta administration is the name of a town east of Jakarta Province. To the north is bordered by the East Jakarta, North Jakarta, on the east by Bekasi, Depok south with and on the west by the South Jakarta and Central Jakarta. The area of East Jakarta City is 187.73 km ².
East Jakarta city administration is Widest in the provinces of DKI Jakarta. East Jakarta, Bambu Apus bermotto - Sri Dunting This is one of five city administration and an administrative district of Jakarta.

6. North Jakarta is the name of a city administration in the north of Jakarta Province. To the north is bordered by North Jakarta Java Sea, east of the Bekasi, on the south by the West Jakarta, Central Jakarta and East Jakarta. On the west side adjacent to Tangerang, North Jakarta.
Located in North Jakarta Tanjung Priok, Sunda Kelapa harbor and the old town of Batavia City Hall is now called the Museum City of Jakarta.
